Ways To Explore The USVI

Circumnavigate St. John

See all that St. John and its surrounding cays have to offer. Exploring the waters off our home island you’ll realize there is so much more than you could have ever imagined. Bays and reefs not excessiblef by road or trail, small cays teeming with life and fascinating landmarks to take in. Whether you are more interested in the historical stories or the gossip surrounding the rich and famous that frequent our little slice of paradise, there are points of interest everywhere. Just about the mid way point of our journey we find ourselves passing by the Lime Out Taco Boat. As delicious as it is unique, this stop has something for everyone. And a story to take home. Whether you are getting your bearings as first time visitors or hitting your favorites on a yearly trip, a circumnavigation is a great day on the water.

A St. Thomas Adventure

St. Thomas from the water is a completely different island from the one you have experienced on your arrival and departure days. With an extensive and wild north shore, dotted with secret beaches and dramatic cliffs. The numerous cays such as Hans Lollick, Brass, and West cay make this is truly an off the beaten path adventure. As you round the south side of the island you will find yourself at the foot of the STT runway, maybe just in time to be buzzed by a 737. Head just down the road from there to Dinghy’s Beach Bar and Grill for a Poke bowl and Wasted Dinghy. If you know, you know. Finish the day with a run up the remaining south shore with options like Buck Island, Happy Island and the James’ to stop at.

Explore the North Shore

Make the most of your time on the water. Focusing around the north and west ends of St. John can be a great way to hit several of the best areas around while avoiding some of the more exposed sections of water. Start the day with a “booze cruise” up the iconic north shore. Taking in the former Caneel Bay Resort property, the famous north shore beaches and some of the most impressive architecture on the island. Then make a turn west to explore the outer cays of Thatch, Grass, Mingo, and Lovango. The Lovango Resort and Beach Club is a great stop for lunch, unless you’d prefer something less traditional. Then we would recommend giving Pizza Pi, our local pizza boat a try. Located in Christmas Cove it is a mere stones throw from the infamous “Epstein Islands”, Little and Great St. James.
